6520 Manual shuttle problem

Hello, Our 6520 SE 2006 manual shuttle is not engaging like it should recently. It engages perfectly when you push the lever manually on the side of the transmission. I’ve changed the cable but not really any better. There was quite a bit of wear where the cable connects to the shuttle lever on the aluminium lever under the dash. Sorted that but again not much better. Been playing with adjustment but again not really any better! Any thoughts? TIA.

My two 6620se has same trouble but cable replacement and changing aluminium bit on bottom of the lever sorted both. Could you have gotten a faulty cable?

I’ll be honest it wasn’t a genuine cable as it was 1/3 of the price. It seemed to fit ok though.

Our old 6120SE went stiff on the shuttle, seem to remember the problem was where the lever goes into the gearbox, dont think it was a big job as such

The old cable didnt seem to have much wrong with it but I changed it in case but as stated no better.

Had this problem on my 63 spent wee time under it with wd40 where it goes in and somebody above just shuttling the lever back and forward seemed to cure it
