6920 Not Starting

Evening,

Having problems with a 6920 not starting its 2002 so pre common rail.
Lift pump on-top of filter isnt running, no power to it although the fuse is good. Any pointers on where to look next.

Chase the lift pump wire back, I believe it chafes through under the cab, failing that run a new one from fuse to pump

Which injector pump does it have!! If its a Bosch VP44, things are a bit more complicated..

On the VP - the lift pump only runs with key in crank position . then runs when engine starts - put shuttle in F or R and turn key to crank and the pump should run to test .

Have had a look at this this morning and it doesnt apear to be getting a switched live to the start relay above the Battery. The pump will run and can hear the fuel shut off solenoid clicking when forcing the relay with the powerprobe. Next stop find where the switched feed to the relay should be coming from!

When you say it won't start,,, is it not cranking the engine from the key, or does it crank but not fire?? ?
