Anyone have any solutions to this.... obviously apart from wait for it to be drier.
Didn't have any issues in the autumn but oat over crop and sticky soul is causing trouble this spring

Perhaps but I'm not up overly high. I'll try it.
In a dryer field now and no problem.
Though I am happy the other one was fine for drilling. A few wet patches here and there were causing the problems I think

You can try shimming the gauge wheel closer to the disc so that the lip of the tyre wipes the disc clean. Remember to shim them back out again as soon as it's drier or you'll rip the lip of the tyre. Technically it should have a 3mm gap between tyre lip and disc. You should also be running with no press wheel pressure, the Yanks would remove the press wheels completely when seeding in the wet.

Thanks Simon, might try the shimming if the issue arises again. Yes already running press wheel with no pressure

Blocked wheels will stall the disc if to close together, causing uneven wear. As has been said surely if its blocking spoked wheels come back in a day or two???

Steel scraper rings. Run them up against the disc. A game changer
