Something I haven't come across before. Was lambing a ewe yesterday ( big single) and after it had delivered lamb as all the post birthing gunk was coming out, it suddenly appeared that a pint of custard was being poured out of her uterus! It didn't smell and she cleared it up along with the afterbirth. I'm guessing that she must have had some kind of huge abscess in there? I gave her a shot of Betamox (temp normal) and think I'll keep her in so I can monitor her for the next couple of days but she's fine in herself. It was grossly fascinating and earned her the merit of 'Ewe of the Day' for the entertainment value she gave me in a tough day! Anyone had anything similar?
