The carrot is the £3billion subsidy we used to get....Unfortunately no one from the NFU or RT actually engages with grass roots farmers to actually explain the reason behind some of their practices and policies.
Olly is happy to spoat loads of great things on social media, but its like he has been gagged on ever discussing RT or NFU work.
I'm not naive to know that behind the scenes, the NFU have got to appease the Government with food cost inflation probably more than the farmers that pay their wages ! The carrot is the £3billion subsidy we get; the stick is to provide cheap food.
As you say he seems to be doing well, so perhaps doesn’t want too much change but you sound like you’re saying he’s not a typical farmer, which is the thing that confuses me about TFF. I think he’s very typical, there’s lots like him (one might even own this forum)why would the well set up and doing very nicely thanks want to rock their boat ?
what farmers/ people like that do and not the slightest bit on common with what we do as farmers .
Go on you tube and watch for yourselfI don’t buy the FG or FW , nor follow any of the you tube farmers , however could you paraphrase what the chap has said or post a link please

Has it ever crossed your mind he might work fecking hard to get where he has?As you say he seems to be doing well, so perhaps doesn’t want too much change but you sound like you’re saying he’s not a typical farmer, which is the thing that confuses me about TFF. Lots of “well set up” farmers out there and you have to compete with them I’m afraid.
Not every farmer is broke and earning less than minimum wage, that’s why getting farmers to all stand together is so difficult.
Having said that I thought I’d seen him criticise RT and I rarely watch him.
I think he means other income streams, which he would have worked hard forHas it ever crossed your mind he might work fecking hard to get where he has?
Of course, most farmers work very hard, I don't begrudge them any of it, they should make lots of money and many do. Many make enough to invest in other income streams too, so don't just have to depend on farming.Has it ever crossed your mind he might work fecking hard to get where he has?
It's mummy's and daddy's farm if you start off with a few million, can't really go wrong to be fair.Has it ever crossed your mind he might work fecking hard to get where he has?
