Am so incensed, just grabed last piece of xmas cake
The ranting on here about the NFU, how sh!t it is and all that
And now this
LBC this morning was suportive of farmers getting a fair price for food, certain hours get very few caller through, I been their and BBC
People on here say they go to NFU meetings, say their piece, and no one says a word, lambs to the slaughter or slaughtered, Same things happening here
Cant bow down to a young lion, your threatening to take away hi throne for ever
Any one here getting inflation proof £600 ton wheat
Or an inflation proof pension TILL DEATH, public servents do, and prob NFU

I DONT GET IT you pay to be assured, they take you produce and mix it with nonassured, then stick a badge on that represents YOU
That looks to me like a PPI scandal, Now car finance scandal. Then think of the Post Office (never wrong) taking money from the belows
Looks just like the BRC kicking us in the nuts every day
And the public been CONNED by that RED LOGO the farmer, (not me gov, thats what the post masters said)
Come clean now before were sucked in more, Thats Dover
They are worse off in Europe? Our sub £3 bil, French similar population bigger land mass, including Alps and Pyrenees , sub £8bil approx
Never sort RT with this attitude
BUT I LL NOT WALK AWAY

Am at a AHDB monitor farm meeting this wk i'll ask a few Questions eh.
Guessing they need a pay rise too do more i assume?
Id rather paid them something than RT lot thats for sure.
Maybe you would, but they need to do something for the money, otherwise it's just a job creation scheme.

If you want to put them on the spot, ask them what consultation on the increase was had with levy payers, and who authorised it

What did he say about the protests?

What has made Olly look bad ( rightly or wrongly ) is the fact he said he was going to run for the top NFU jobs but then at the last minute back tracked on that and did not put his name up, by saying he was going to stand it will have no doubt put off other less well known people from putting their own names forward as they would have thought they would not have had a chance to get elected against someone who is very well known and popular like Olly.

And now the NFU is getting a new president by default as no one is standing against him for the role.

Thats a poor argument. Anyone who is put off by someone else running is not who we need in said position.

Just on linkedin reading a farmer producer i met , says, what would happen if thoughs in institutations spoke their thoughts instead of following the flow?
Thing is i thought thats what you were suposed to do,
Seems like olly would rather tell his fellow producers his thoughts by phone on you tube, than his board colegues face to face
Our does he not believe what his fellow farmers think. IF THATS THE CASE WHY IS HE THERE Dont forget he does charity, THAT will win you over

Hello the Sir, I see you have some serious concerns there. Have you considered protesting about this before? I see there was recently a move to form one but it was cancelled due to lack of interest and the impending end of the world.

You are a cereal farmer so understand all the pressures farmers in general are presently under. Your videos over the last 2 years have highlighted things like high fertiliser prices, low market prices, high machinery prices etc and it gives your none farming viewers an understanding of what we are facing so thank you for that.

However I have a question or two which I would appreciate you answer, either on here or even better do an entire sit down video dedicated to it. So as I understand it you are a farmer NFU member? As well as being a NFU Combinable Crops Board member? Due to this position you then sit on the Red Tractor combinable crops board on behalf of the NFU? I think thats a correct summary of your none farm positions but please correct me if I am wrong?

So with your farming hat on as far as I am aware, you have never said anything negative about the NFU or Red Tractor, yet you must know that the NFU is no longer on the farmers side? We all now know that the NFU were fully aware of the GFC for at least two years and have been at the table from the beginning. You must be aware that the NFU has a lot of none farming associates such as the supermarkets and BRC so why do you as a farmer say nothing when you have the platform to speak out on the side of the farmers?

When you have your own RT inspection you see what they request but again with your farmer hat on you say nothing and accept it? Why?

I also see you singing the praises of the AHDB yet have said nothing about the levy increases which no farmer was ever asked about? Do you think it’s acceptable for these increases when the AHDB do nothing for the industry to the outside world?

So Olly I am just a bit perplexed about your view on these things. You are a farmer first and foremost, yet seem to side with the hierarchy in the industry that seems hell bent on destroying it. I hope you will take the time to answer this in some form.
Having seen on the inside of all 3 mentioned organisations
None are perfect far from it
But all in my opinion are needed
To say something detrimental at any level in public would be silly in my opinion because although I’m just a farmer my opinion seems to carry more weight with the following I have 🤦‍♂️
But that’s not to say I don’t to there face
Nfu does lots of good it’s just sh!t at communicating it and slow

Red tractor needs backing up 20 years but we do need a level of assurance sadly

Ahdb is a massively under utilised resource if you use it for what it’s there for it’s hellish value for money
For what it’s worth I use to think like you

Of course sfi suits certain farmers in England ie praire cereal
farmers much more so than family mixed farmers.
Where is the voice for these on the NFU?

Much of the sfi payments are skewed towards those who have done
the most enviromental damage in the past.

Your average mixed farmer will not be receiving
DD allowance
Variable fertiliser rate allowance
Non use of pesticide payment
targeted herbicide spraying allowance.

These 4 things alone give the large scale cereal farmer most of their bps back.
Much wonder they don't want to upset the boat.

SFI in England has succeeded in one thing by dividing farmers .
There seems to be a i'm alright Jack attitude by the minority who
can't believe their luck from this new found subsidy system.

A fair point, well made, that somebody could equally post in virtually every online thread.

These discussions arise due to the vacuum created when we don't have answers/ responses from these bodies, to which we can refer.
I don't believe TFF profligates misinformation but we all try to make sense of the circumstances we are experiencing in the absence of the provision of any accurate information.

I would think it would be immensely constructive for Olly or any one else to respond although I appreciate the reluctance to start a conversation that is impossible to control or stop, in this medium.
There was no answers till today as I don’t go on tff every day
