Can you explain please ?
Me get down and dirty, diversified, work on my own place every day, i m not on his acreage or got his kit, but i tell it as it is to my customers ( but not to a vicar theres no one above( i dont know that)
Hes tubing and charity, and farming when he has the time, which as they says pays£
MOST NFU that i know either sit there and take it as it is, or stand and give view because they have big opinion of themselves, and a higher standing in the community (acreage) or market (livestock)or are all and young, cant stand that types waffle
As i said, the public would ask why we wernt on the protest road, THEY have Yorkshire Post sat
To paraphrase , "can some one tell me why the farmers arnt out protesting about the SFI its extreme and unworkable, they appear to have no backbone, are they brainwashed as to lay on their backs like dogs and be carresed by DEFRA, CAN YOUR READERS GIVE AN ANSWER? " What a bloody insult to our interlect, but true
Same paper, the public calling for legislation to increase home grown to 60%

Hello the Sir, I see you have some serious concerns there. Have you considered protesting about this before? I see there was recently a move to form one but it was cancelled due to lack of interest and the impending end of the world.
Me, Im no sir, but every chance i get to interaction with public i educate politely, but whatch the blood pressure;) Its the demographics of the ollys of this world who should do the organising, but when you get THERE lifes too got on his edge to be arsed..

I’m not alright but I can adapt and change to circumstances I hope
Lots can not
But while we have respect with public we need to keep it
We need change and action but that in my opinion does not involve tractors on Rd’s
I assume you mean "while we have the respect of the public"?

The public buy the cheapest food on offer, as determined by the supermarkets. Imported, processed and below the cost of production. Respect? Hardly.

And farmers buy the cheapest fertiliser, chemicals, machinery etc regardless of it's origin.

Go on about stopping imports, crops are fed imported fertiliser, sprayed with imported chemicals, established and harvested with imported machinery.

We aren't any better.

But they use Roundup ready, neonics and more we dont have
No fert plants here so we pay shippage, and yes shippage of product here ( to busy to think, chasing the light)

Thanks you

Look at wales Southen island and Europe even Ukraine then ask your self where you want to be
The Wales situation is bad, they have a Government that is openly anti agriculture.

On the face of it the situation in England isn't as bad but it is being sneaked in under the radar, in other words by the time we wake up it could be too late.

But the biggest problem we have is that the organisation that farmers pay to look after our interests is actively working alongside those that are doing us harm.
We have been members for as long as I can remember but left recently because of this. I would like to think that some day we can re-join but it won't happen unless they start to look after farmer's interests.

What Ollie was suggesting was that farmers have the support of the public. With respect, farmer buying habits weren't in question, even if you do have a point.
