Accord drill settings.

I've just planted some game cover mix-small seed, of kale, millet mix. I took time to calibrate it with the turn handle and weigh seed. However, when I drilled I must of nearly drilled double! Well maybe 1.5 times, looked in hopper and most my seed gone. It should have been approx 10 kilo to hectare. My scale has come off but I still have it and noticed the increments are roughly 1mm like on a ruler scale. So I had the gap set at what would have been around 8?? Anything else I've done wrong?

If it helps I did exactly the same. Luckily never been that far out with my real crops!

when calibrating on fine seed setting it pays to multiply up by a factor of 10 so if for instance you do 5 turns on the handle to get 100th of a hectare then do 50turns to get 10th of a hectare instead

Check the fine seed engager is right in the slots. Can slip, and continue sowing with cereal rolls. I would have set it 8 as well if that's any consolation.

Mine is set on 4 for kale or stubble turnips, normally works out about right.
