AD plant alternative feedstock?

I have a mainly slurry/liquid only digester and I’m currently feeding cows molasses which is £190/tonne. Is it worth while me adding a small amount per day of molasses to the plant? Will it generate enough extra gas to cover the cost of the molasses and more? If not is maize meal worth adding at £190 ?

Any sources of whey nearby? If you can persuade the EA that glycerol is not waste, try that. It is reputedly rocket fuel for digesters.

Glycerol is, depending on where you are its about £170 per tonne. Buy yourself an ex shipping tank and away you go.

I’ve been putting whey permeate in for few months but had to put molasses in the tank instead for the cows so the whey had to go
