So Ive got a brilliant log pusher offer with a one way ram. To retract it I used to just wedge something under the Jcb hydraulic lever once the engine is off and the pusher springs would gently bring the pusher back, worked fine.

now got a new Jcb with electric switches so now if I try to with draw the pusher, I’m effectively trying to suck oil from a pipe that not fitted but in turn It lets the oil flow back gently. This cant be good for the hydraulics so I think I need to fit some sort of return flow to allow oil to circulate whilst it works. This would sit on the head stock somewhere.

im sure it’s simple enough, has anyone done this, pictures?
