no not me . Think I saw him and it did look more baz than Gascon . Baz have more back end than Gascon and the dark mask. Going over that way this month will try not to go off the road looking in fields.
I had to actually just stop and just look, the last time I went past those cows!! Safer
There’s a couple of herds that I know of there’s the one at Aviemore and another one at Elgin. There was also one over at Tomintoul but they dispersed two years ago. They seem to be a very easy care type of out wintering cow.Is this some new Scottish breed?! Never ever heard of a Gascon?
There's one in Suffolk belonging to a man who also has farm near Fort WilliamThere’s a couple of herds that I know of there’s the one at Aviemore and another one at Elgin. there's selection of young Baz bulls available for sale in Lancashire just now, from a very good herd noted for their quiet cattle, contact details on the Baz facebook pageHe looks some machine from the road, have seen some BAZ X weaned calves selling in Thainstone from that area so was just assuming really.
I probably should of, was just in the darkening as the storm was starting to blow on Sunday late afternoon, still had to drive to Teeside so kept going. Maybe get a better study next time.
13 sold today average £15543rd February a friend of mine has a genuine reduction sale for his Father at J36 Crooklands
Young Blonde X cows bred from a closed dairy herd in calf to a very smart Bazadaise bull
Here's the link on FB :
You know I pass a herd of them that belong to a friend near Lavenham often . His are a bit less angular than the ones I’ve seen elsewhere . I often think they are similar to the Aubrac and either to a Baz bull cross would be goodGascon are lighter grey than Bazadaise and have a different, more angular backend, Gascon have black noses and eyes and skin, Bazadaise have a dark grey coat and pink noses, eyes and skin

Very easy calving. Work really well on blue lim cows . Calves are not much different at the start to lim x but fast growing and muscle up plus more variety of colour, never had any that were baz colour but lots of roans,(red and blue ,)and blacks, put to sims they can have white markings. Choochter will know about finished baz just sell mine store.Interested to know more about this breed? (Baz). I’m currently running looking for a new breed also as coming away from the Lims! What are they like for calving?
Breeds they click with and don’t?
What’s there killing grades and Weights like?
Thanks.
The Baz and BazX that I have finished - steers are either U- or U+ and 3 (mostly) or 4L, weights dead would be 380-400 as that's what our local abattoir wants, KO is usually 60%, but I've had 62/63%, crosses sometimes 58%. Heifers same grades, lighter weight but I have rarely finished pure heifers.Interested to know more about this breed? (Baz). Are they as wild as the Lim? Certainly don’t want no more like that!Very easy calving. Work really well on blue lim cows . That’s relatively good figures tbh!The Baz and BazX that I have finished - steers are either U- or U+ and 3 (mostly) or 4L, weights dead would be 380-400 as that's what our local abattoir wants, KO is usually 60%, but I've had 62/63%, crosses sometimes 58%. The cross with Limousin also works well (see my pics above)
Good cross for heifers. They were worse than lims at one time for wildness. But that’s been bred out of a lot of them now, same as the limAre they as wild as the Lim? Certainly don’t want no more like that!
Can they be used on heifers then?
Not wild at all . Quiet and easy . Not into jumping over things or going through things. Good for using on heifers idealAre they as wild as the Lim? Certainly don’t want no more like that!

Some lovely calves thereSome calves out of blue lim cows
