I am thinking of adding an extra bay onto an existing building , the current building is 45 x 30 in 15ft bays was wondering
if it is possible to add a 20ft bay instead of another 15ft , any advice is welcome.

Is one , 15 ,20 more cost effective than tuther.
In regards to my mythical building thats bin on plans for a WHILE , if the finished was basically 45 x 20 ish if another similar size was more efficient then that would be fine. Or is this a piece of string questions.

A friend priced up a shed using 15’ bays & 20’ bays. The bigger timbers required for 20’ bays actually made the 15’ bay shed cheaper.

Plus the rafters and stanchions usually need to be heavier aswell. Only real benefit of 20foot is ease of access on a machinery type shed etc, you can back two tractors/machines into each bay
