A friend priced up a shed using 15’ bays & 20’ bays. The bigger timbers required for 20’ bays actually made the 15’ bay shed cheaper. Is one , 15 ,20 more cost effective than tuther.
In regards to my mythical building thats bin on plans for a WHILE , if the finished was basically 45 x 20 ish if another similar size was more efficient then that would be fine. Or is this a piece of string questions.
Plus the rafters and stanchions usually need to be heavier aswell. Only real benefit of 20foot is ease of access on a machinery type shed etc, you can back two tractors/machines into each bayA friend priced up a shed using 15’ bays & 20’ bays. Can also put a bridge across 2 15's to give a 30' opening, have a 5 bay here with 2 bridges.Plus the rafters and stanchions usually need to be heavier aswell. Only real benefit of 20foot is ease of access on a machinery type shed etc, you can back two tractors/machines into each bay

It won't be much more as you are saving on a post in the middle.Yes they look ideal, no idea how much you need to up the spec on stanchions though!!!
