Advice needed on gps

looking to buy GPs for the 7616 mf for top dressing grass so I can do it at 24m rather than 12 . What's the Best Buy ? What price are they roughly ? Who are the dealers for them ? Pros and cons ? Thanks in advance

Patchwork’s Black box is very good and upgrade able if you wanted to add stuff to it, mine was £1000 years back but don’t know of cost now, barely use it now as fitted GPS on tractors. I’d have thought they’d all be pretty good nowadays, been out long enough. You’ll get what you pay for, same as everything.

My advice is to get one out on demo and try it. You might have to put up with a load of old sales patter but perhaps someone will forward you one to try without the hard sell.

Patchwork black box is ok but the older models won’t keep up very well on headland turns at speed but on grass that won’t matter so much. I’ve not tried the newer models to be fair.

Ended up with a Trimble 250 ez , works a treat , just need to get a bracket made for it now
How much was it? Do you mind giving a breakdown on what you got for your money? I.e. tablet/bracket etc.

I am considering getting one for fertilizer and spraying. Something simple and cheapish like a basic Patchwork.
Thanks

Hi , I got the screen , receiver and a suction pad to stick it to the window , I will have to have a proper bracket made tho as it only stayed on window for a week , it's ideal for fert and spraying , u can store all fields in it so u can save them once then reuse again , it was £1100 plus vat I think , the model up from it gives u a much bigger screen and can be upgraded to use with auto steer , I think it's 300 more but it was only for fert I need so the 250 does me just fine
