Advice please re fencing grant

Good evening. I am looking for a bit of advice regarding possible fencing grants.

I have around 14 acres and the farm has been non working for many years. I am wanting to introduce some cattle onto a few of the fields covering about 5 acres or so. There is currently no fencing up and walls have fallen over so the only viable option is to fence round it.

It currently has no cph number.
If I was to register the farm and get a cph number is it possible to claim a grant for fencing? If so who am I best contacting?
Thanks in advance.

Hi Ben,

Go to the 'Natural England' website and find your local officers contact details.
Speak to them about which grants you are eligible for.

Some water companies pay grants for fencing as well be might be worth looking that up as well.

Good luck

£32 a metre to rebuild those walls, extra stone provided by another grant, bonus for difficult sites, then a grant to top wire the wall.

Could well be a better option than fencing it at your expense.

Plus they really want you to do it.

AFAIK there are no stand alone fencing grants, but you could go for hedging grant if you can interlink hedges, and then fencing grant to protect the hedge from the stock
