Aga green oil

My mother recently moved to Norfolk and doesn’t want the aga that was in the house so for sale in good condition, has been professionally dismantled. £250.
If you pm me I can send a video I took before removal.

I know that oil fired Aga's are not in demand as much they were.... but has the previously very strong secondhand market collapsed???

We run 3 and the last one installed was 4 oven reconditioned at about £8k in 2005 (new price 12k, new price 2 oven like you are selling 8k ..at that time)

A good condition (like yours) second hand used to be 4k ish selling price.

Yours is the best colour too.

If still for sale i would try E BAY at 2.5k min
That is a thinly traded but desirable item to a very few people. It needs to be seen by more potential customers. IMO.

If it is still for sale at £250 i'll buy it.

Hi all, still available, been busy with harvest/grain drying. @John Slejpner are you still interested if not then I’ll get back to you @nelly55 .
I think it’s good value, but my mother and brother were not offered anything by the dismantles so I said I could probably get something for it for them, it is taking up quite a bit of room in their garage and they would rather it went sooner than waiting to get maximum possible...

I am interested more that it isn't given away.....I don't need one right now , although maybe in 24 months i will.....

I checked after posting and the going rate on eBay for that calibre of Aga is £2.5 -£3k, so a little less than 15 yrs ago.

So yes i will / would have it.......but i would feel almost like i'm stealing it.

How badly do the other two want it? How quickly can they move it?

I'll pay £250 cash on collection and move it in 10 days min.

And if nelly / heathland or anyone else can beat that you should sell it to them.

I have sent a pm message,today

I remember moving a similar (cream coke fired) AGA in one piece stuffed in the rear of a LWB Landrover in 1975. Put in with a forklift and then taken out and moved into the kitchen using a pair of wooden ramps and some home made "Roller Skates".

I really have no idea why I have 3 ruptured discs in my spine !!

It ran successfully until the house with 18" thick walls which actually let the wind and light in through the cracks until it was demolished 25 years later.

Wouldn't like one in the well insulated replacement house simply because the heat would be overpowering but I do miss the perfect roasts.

They don't have quite the second hand demand that your implying. Some people won't live without an aga but many are put off with the running costs and the lack of control. There are plenty on offer for sale. You can take your pic of colour and type for very little money.
