Does the WAS work well?

Seems a much easier way to mount than many, think its probably the biggest stumbling block.

You need a good WAS to have good steering!

It seems to work well. I haven't done much with that tractor to really get a feel for it yet. The tractor does have issues with loosing heading, but I'm pretty sure the issue there is the roll sensor.

There are two black boxes on the A pillar mount the top one should have a panda in it, but I didn't get that working last autumn. I put a BNO085 in the lower black box, which has a V2 board in it. I had to make a mount inside that box for the BNO and it was only when I came to calibrate it that I realised I had got it mounted upside down by mistake. It steers quite well, but bumps can totally confuse the heading. Getting the panda working this spring should sort that out, hopefully.

Most of my other WAS are Honeywell RTY with printed leaver arms direct on to them to a kingpin or track rod. They work well and their geometry is set to minimise ackermann effect, but not the most robust to knocks and the arms end up awkwardly long when connected to a track rod.

Honeywell sensors had doubled in price when I got this tractor so I tried a PS2P-CON sensor instead. They don't look as robust as the Honeywell design, which have a built in plug socket. I encased the PS2P-CON in plenty of PCTG, with grips the flexible conduit, so none of the little wires are exposed.

Mf 7718 but just wanted to get ideas in general
Are you on the agopen forum? Plenty of pictures of both sensor installs of nearly every sensor possible and also Plenty of pictures for the steering motor of all make tractors

Set a friend up with an AgOpenGPS mapping system to map his field boundaries and accurately place SFI options.

Of course the pictures of him seated upon the bike are stationary publicity shots....?

..... When in motion he'll obviously be wearing a helmet and appropriate personal protection equipment 🙄

Many could say health and safety lunatics began running the asylum years ago

Clearly he was dreaming of the day he gets his ATV licence, and was static.

I cannot do a full setup, but could make you up a lightbar setup like this:

Could pre install and configure it, so just plug it in and you have a light bar out the box.

If you want to autosteer then you only need to add a wheel angle sensor and steering motor and mount like these:

got one of those helper chargers today same as in this photo, however it doesn't seem to be charging my fz-g1, the LED on the cigarette lighter is lighing up

and yes it has a 5.5 2.5pin.

Did I see somewhere some filing needs to be done to the molded plastic around the pin housing to let it go into the socket further ?

Finally got chance to properly use the AOG the last few weeks, and getting the hang of it now too!
Grass harrowing with u-turn working and skipping two runs so I still get the stripes looking right. This is using the box from @Andy26 steering over canbus.
Does anyone else find themselves with a silly grin on when it's all working just nice?
i was having real problems with mine today
started a new profile and it didnt take tractor settings across
filled them out and started but it was wandering 2foot off the line :banghead:
altered loads of stuff but then realised that the roll was reversed:banghead::banghead:
back to normal to finish off:banghead::X3:

So was having a play around for the first time yesterday but was having issues with the gps line being in the correct place. One way I’m over lapping by 10-30cm and the other way I’m under lapping.
The drill was central and width correct and the antenna is dead central on the tractor.

Something simple I’m sure, but has anyone any ideas?

Doing and had the same issues with newish setup yesterday, not in front of it now but I'll try to describe what I did.
Click on the icon that sets up the tractor look for the antenna (mushroom shape) click then there should be a picture of the tractor with boxes to fill for height etc. Get the box for the width at the front of the tractor. What numbers in the box? Keep changing it till you get the areas to match up. Remember you might need a - , mine seems to work at -68.
Hope that helps sure the Andys will describe it better with pictures.

Is that 10-30cm error just on the ground or shown on the screen too?

So with it now, click the three gears icon then the tractor icon, then the antenna icon gets you to this picture. Change the figure in the box till you get the worked areas to match. That's how I did mine anyway.

i would keep that at 0 if youve set the tractor up correctly
that will give every implement and offset

there is seperate offsets for implements
