The Pommier boom gantry can crack if had a lot of rough treatment (spraying on ploughed ground) but rest of the booms seem to be ok. Not really a lot to go wrong with them to be honest, have heard the front chassis rails can crack but mine has a strengthener plate on it. Engine is Landrover copy well the 2.8 engined one is anyway, parts readily available if needed, variable vane turbo can be overhauled relatively cheaply, mech injection. Cambelt needs doing at 600hrs.
Mine is 2,500 lts with 4ws, auto box etc but I completely rebuilt it from a burnt out wreck so modified a few systems on it, I use a simple Manitou valve for 4WS and 2WS instead of the expensive auto valve and I also modified the cooling system to try and make it more efficient.
It is a great machine, pretty much floats over anything, very lightweight and with the rowcrops on OSR desiccation is fine, it does knock a bit out but not too bad, although wont be an issue here in future as stopped growing it.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.

This webinar will be...
