Agricology- have a wealth of interesting field studies and research on their website but they are looking to improve it. Please give me your feedback.

I was expecting / hoping for an interesting thread about agricultural archaeology. :(
There is some interesting stuff on there but I think it’s difficult to sift through and should be more punchy. How would you design a useful website or know of any better examples? Sorry, I imagine you’re too busy.

'Busy' in theory; it's dreary outside, I've done what I have to do out there and so am in to 'do the VAT' and other admin'. Which is another way of saying that I'm bored and will avoid the VAT for as long as possible.

I think you misunderstood my post, it wasn't a criticism of the site per se but, rather, that from it's name I expected an archaeological slant, I can now see that an ecological slant is a fair expectation too.

Your website looks very well presented, having browsed it for a bit I can only suggest one thing that would - I think - be a beneficial change... most people have a relatively short attention span until their interest is hooked. On that basis I'd reduce the amount of 'information' on the Home page and, probably, on the 'about us' page too - those being the most likely to be viewed.

I'm using a laptop, and it takes a fair bit of scrolling to get to the bottom of these, so, by all means have the drop-down lists of links within the site, but I think there just needs to be less on what are the front pages.

Publicising / promoting it so more people know about it?
I think he she just has.

Thanks Danllan. Are you the Danllan I spoke to on the phone? I'm Holly Whitelaw. Anyhow, it's not my website but Regen Food & Farming are working with Agricology and they asked for feedback. I agree with your comments. Warm wishes. Hx

There are others? :nailbiting: Not me as far as I can remember, unless it was a wrong number, or I'm still hungover. What was the call about and when was it? Right, back to the VAT. :arghh:
