Was just wondering what some farm workers are on? I am a tractorman/stockperson, I can drill and have PA1 and 2 and do most of the cutting aswell at harvest. Also have plenty other work and experience such as fert spreading, digger work, ploughing and livestock work

Isn't that about the long and short of it?

I'm only going by the AWB as I used to be on that sliding scale. Other than that I have no idea so sorry. This is just a guide and with each newly acquired skill your wages will increase. I'd imagine the first (Grade 1) is for a new-starter aged 16.

Anywhere from £28k to £40k per annum depending on hours, responsibility and size of farm...

Houses can complicate wage level further when treating like for like comparisons. Wage maybe let say 25k but free house with job could be worth another 12k+ per year. Hear people on big £ per hour wages but then when work out they pay for their own house and vehicle it does not seem so great.
