Air compressor not running

The reason why the capacitors were expensive from sealey was because one of the capacitors has a circuit breaker built into it as the sealey motor did not have a centrifugal switch built into it. An ordinary capacitor would not work on this motor. So i was told!!

They probably source the start circuit as a packaged spare from the motor supplier. Hence why they can’t/won’t sell you just the start capacitor. Mind it might have been a thermal switch too. Hard to say. It’s academic anyway as you’ve sorted it

Just replaced the capacitors in mine and they burnt out straight away. Guess I have to get a new motor now. Where did you get the motor from?

Just an update. Got in touch with sealey and they were looking over £200 for the capacitors!!! I just bought a new motor for £100 and compressor is going fine now. Thanks for everyone’s help

Sorry for delay John. Bought my motor from a local sealey dealer. Im sure you can pick up a motor easy enough. Check out your local tool supplier
