Hello, Basically we have an equine cross country diversification on farm, which includes a water jump/complex. Its fed by a spring supply which fills the area and is drained via an overflow in to a land drain back to a water course.
Sheep tend to drink from it also, My question is how could i stop a green algae type material developing and an element of weed growing in the water. It looks unsightly and creates a fair bit of work removing it.
We have tried barley straw with limited success, just wondered if anyone had any other ideas ?
Thanks S
