Cheers, I cant decide of we "want" to blood test?!
If it nips it in the bud then you do. 15 years time a lot of damage could be doneCheers, I cant decide of we "want" to blood test?!
Plenty of wildlife been removed from traps and relocated. Hopfully just as baldy had, just a wake up call, but....When you dont have any idea how it came in nipping it in the bud is difficult!

Flip side. I'm on holiday, just got the message that we have gone tb free this morning.
Ah 21 days off would be a treat. Home for day 6 in reality tho.Is that why you synch'd them all?
Synch, holiday, home for returns?
How far away did they come from?No idea, we were in a TB4 area but odd cases have started to creep locally, usually lesions found in the abattoir then going clear on a skin test whereas we haven't had a confirmed case but obviously struggling with the skin.
We buy very little in, bought 20 milkers last August, from a very good friend, but they have been tested 3 times now and all passed every time.
We go to 4 or 5 shows a year?
Beesons take them.

On the ibTB there’s quite a few cases in your area.
About 25 miles away, we haven't had any proven case yet, no lesions, no cultures if they find either we automatically have to blood test.
What are people finding when they blood test?
Losing 5%?
Jesus don't frighten the poor girl. We in Devon have a heavily infested Badger and deer population. I'm sure that there is not the level of infection in the Badger population up North.Average loss is between 10% and 20%, but ranges between 0 and 80% from our vets.

Maybe, but has had up to 4 years to establish itself in the herd with being a TB4, I would always go with worst case scenario and only lose a few then the other way around.
Absolutely right.Hence we should all be on yearly testing.
