A few pictures from the recent sh!t show of the past couple weeks. Bottomed out at -24 and ended up with 6-8” of snow at the end. Was able to graze through a bit till the last snowfall made it too deep. Glad to see the end of it.

Phone call this afternoon from our relief milker.
"Is the pre dip in the barrel you've marked 'pre'?"

The other barrel is marked 'post'.

Sometimes I wonder......
Best to mark before and after......for before you let them out and after you've pushed them in the collecting yard.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I keep the dip away from the cleaning chems, both pre and post dips are iodine ones and we use dip cups so you would have to be a real numpty to muddle chems and then dip them too, on our system.
It just made me laugh when I was asked, I think she even realised it was a silly question as she asked it.

There was someone on here a while ago that had a mix up of chemicals and used peracetic acid as a post spray/dip.
While ago now. The fitter was servicing the robots and left without turning on the water to 1 robot. Result was brushes were being sprayed with neat perecetic. We did not notice till no water alarm at wash time.. over the next couple of days we had double figures of cows with varying degrees of chemical burns on their tits. Some cleared up quickly others took longer & 1 cow had to be put down. Dealers insurer settled a significant claim
