New plate cooler fitted today 81 plates instead of the 51 before and milk cooled a lot quicker
Fitter said plate coolers will only do 10 years before there knacked,my old one had done 3* that

I would say depended how hard your water is and never run the pump without a filter/sock in place.

Just seen this, yes I've checked the bloody plate cooler and cluster flush and wish I hadn't. Fpd went down to 509 from 511, 2 cows (including my best one) have got mastitis and my cell count has gone from 85 to 254

Pulled this whopper out this morning. Got them in and put him in the lamb scales, 51.5kg. He's double the size of the week old Jersey heifer in the next pen.

When we were struggling it was the cluster flush, found some dodgy valves and consistently up at 518 now, shame it hasn't solved your problem

Dont know but it's just very coincidental considering I've only had 1 case since I've started up and that was in a cow that calved 2 months earlier than expected without going dry! Didnt know without trying though atleast I can rule it out now
