no bloody tickers that's for sure, fertility is in 10.5 week ,culled or maybe this year bull in for 3 week then send down to Wadebridge 😉, fertility here is single figure for 12 years now. Have a plan a stick to it😉
l really know that, there's some really smart young cows, and pretty certain previous bull firing blanks, still, had their chance, so milk and kill, or this year, milk, dry off, fatten and kill, oceans of grass, for a change !

What percentage did you get incalf in the first 3 weeks? Also, how long is your block?
Your heifer looks well.

I'm a mere pretender compared to the proper block calvers on here😅. Be sub 50%, 45% maybe.
I sacrifice a bit of % for a bit of output.
Think about 90% calved after 9 weeks this year. Which handily takes me to max cows this year.

Smidge over 9k in 290 odd days. 4.4/3.4.
Not just that though, she's in a slightly smaller package...well for me anyway 😄

Had these heifers calve in the autumn and between 1-6 months they go dry on numerous quarters,no mastitis ,cell count low.I had similar issues on my last farm .any ideas??
