I think they do a national thing but I guess there wouldn't be enough herds to do a regional/local thing unfortunatelyShame they don’t do something similar for friesians.
makes our place look like amateur hour.Few pictures since start of calving, cows pre calving, some plantain hand broadcast in grazing has come for a bit of a trial, a genuine 4ft wide cow that eats plenty forage! Cow with 2 pictures is a decent looking Friesian cross 5th calver
Only take pictures of the good bitsP”

both cows and us, like the plantain/chicory, good job they do, at one stage it was all that grew. Interesting spin off, they happily munch fresh dock leaf's off, and they were not far behind the herbs, for keeping going.Only take pictures of the good bits
Yes it’s a bit of a trial I’ve kept an eye on all the herbal ley/regen stuff and like the idea but need to make it work practically! It’s only cost a tenner for some tonic plantain I’m conscious of it taking over the farm though as people worked hard to get rid of rib grass years ago? It needs to work in rotational grazing here and it’s in a nice award of grass/clover so I can now tick the box of a herbal ley farmer?!? I read Andre cousin book from all those years ago his trials showed the most palatable plant to a cow to be plantain so fingers crossedboth cows and us, like the plantain/chicory, good job they do, at one stage it was all that grew. In the really hot spell, it was only chicory that kept going, roots can go down 10ft or more.

we let 28 acres for maize one year, no idea of their spray programme, but after cutting we had 28 acres of wild plantain, the tack sheep spent part of every day on it, even when they weren't meant to.Yes it’s a bit of a trial I’ve kept an eye on all the herbal ley/regen stuff and like the idea but need to make it work practically! Yes used to do it. Depending on how big the auger is it may be slow compared to a bucketAnyone know if an ordinary grain auger could be used for filling a diet feeder with blend?
Which genomic test do you use?Just had the genomic results back for these 2 beauties
Aintree patriot Pauline is in at £340!! Makes her the 4th highest heifer, I'm very, very, very excited
