Did they come from the Launceston office? We found them very helpful, spent two days here checking all our drains with die & cameras as no one had records of what went were. Was advised what needed altering, and what was fine etc.
l can assure you, some are definitely unhelpful.
The #########that visited us, condemned a silage pit, till we put an effluent tank in, the old one had basically rotted away. Even rung up to check we hadn't put 1st cut in there.
His boss, who came out after we formally complained, was a sensible chap, told matey we were fine, just renew a couple of gutters, job sorted.
Except #############didn't take any notice of that, whatsoever. Just carried on trying to catch us 'out', which he couldn't. He did achieve a degree of infamy, his name was known, by firms selling the various 'legal requirements'

the ######### only came out, following a complaint about the council drains, 18 months of it. If we were causing a problem, that's one thing, we were not, his boss/manager told him we were not, and it took him 18 months to find that we were legal.
I was even polite to him, gave him a cup of coffee, he never got the offer of a 2nd one though.
