It's cold wet and shitty up here,March was shite (12" of rain) April hasn't been great so far.:(

We had plenty of cloud in March but little rain to go with it. Boys soil down here so a fortnight without rain and I start getting twitchy. I don't want to start drying cows off in May but needs must if I have to :(

I've silage left to eat, bit if I didn't then I'd join you. Although mon/Thur after royal Cornwall I've got 380 to dry off anyhow. Worryingly that's only 50 days away....

We're eating into neighbours silage that he wants gotten rid of. If needs be i'll just up that to counter for the lack of grass so I doubt the cows will know any different anyway. But I wouldn't mind having some of my maize silage left to give our fresh cows a kick start in a couple months time.
