Our milk has been collected. Yield right down and being 210 DIM I doubt it'll start rising when the grass does come. About 1500l a pick-up short of where I would like it.

The cold snap a fortnight ago I bought them in for 3 nights, I’ve not bought them in this weekend had about 5” of snow, I’ve got 70 out on the milkbar 3-6 weeks in age all doing well. Been feeding them a bit more milk and a bit warmer milk

Things are moving along slowly but surely now. Lagoon is all but emptied, muck spread and land ploughed

The stones you have on that land would look similar to round here, though ours would vary more in size. How would you describe that soil? Silty clay loam? Ours is basalt bedrock.

I think those might be stubble turnips.

They are indeed stumble turnips. I’m not sure how I’d describe it fairly light sandy soil here though and not a lot of it
