Rudolph milked mine this morning

well, nothing like @eulb
But came out this morning to a heifer stuck on her side in the cubicle passage way.(first cow down this way for at least a decade. Then i discovered a flooded cubicle passage way as a water pipe had undone. Then for the first time in ages the separator had blocked on the tower and liquid was towering out of the top of the overflow pipe! nice !

Still all sorted

Happy xmas

Bottle of port for the tanker. Does everyone give a little thank You? View attachment 615010

I let ours come to us very first thing today. He was delighted as he'll be on a flyer now.

Let me have a lie-in as well. We're having christmas down my sisters and shes an hour away. I didn't want to rush down there, eat turkey only to turn around and come home again for milking.

So I milked the cows an hour later last night and an hour again this morning and i'll milk them later again this evening. I get plenty of turkey and fun and games, cows didn't notice any difference this morning and everyones happy!

I got one I don't like the look of tonight (n)
Bloody bulling cows , why can't they calve as a heifer to sexed , then milk on for 3 years

I've lost 3 bulling heifers this year, all done when on heat.

Seem to be having very long heats with the milkers this last couple of years, great fertility results but cows running around like mad on heat with Bulls chasing results in casualties,I put a few in the pen out the way for their own safety.

I could do with a jab of some sort to stop heats, would be good for heifers and to stop culls from getting in calf.

Always tip the tanker man and the postie (y) never tip the bin men as they only pick up at the road end and don't ever pick a bin liner up if it's extra, also they leave the bins out in the drive once they're done.:banghead:

Regards Christmas for the 1st time in 15 years of milking ourselves we've had a helper on Christmas Day and this morning, made a massive difference :) except we both drunk way too much Wine whisky and port last night:dead::hungover::inpain::bored::sleep:
