I think everyone hypes calf price well up I ever seem to get what everyone talks about
top calf prices usually reflect the fact, that someone has kept those calves, on a cow, for 6-8 weeks, and the fact that someone likes to get named, as top priced calf, even machines cant quite get the 'bloom' on them, quite like a cow can. Whether it actually pay's to do, is another matter, but it does enable mkt's to quote a higher av price. Which means many farmers are left slightly disappointed, with their prices, when really they shouldn't be.

it has to be, doesn't it ? You certainly aren't going to get it any quicker, unless you get some bags, and manhandle in there, which isn't recommended.
Farm sale tomorrow, 3 fullwood merlin mk 2. 2018 robots included, who is going to guess the price, locally decided, 2 prices, first, if fullwood buy them back in, or, a farmers price, will be interesting to see the result.

This was my view at 6:30 this morning and I was questioning why I'd bothered to get someone to milk for me so that I could carry on moving straw. Then we had an inch and a half of rain in a very short space of time.

I don't have any photos of the storm but it was a hugely impressive lightening show. I've never been surrounded by forks of lightening in the day time before.

"20 minutes of chaos" was how someone described it to me earlier.

What's the weather been like with you? What do you think it's doing tomorrow afternoon? Only need it for forty overs in the early evening
