It does sound out of order.
However what was the problem andhas he solved it.
He could have just shared his time for free and left you still with an issue.
The knowledge is the valuable bit.

Hmm so I had a supplier and I won't say who yet, drop around a week or two ago asking if needed anything, I said yes, ordered something and then showed him something I've been having issues with (sorry being vague for now) we ended up talking for half an hour about said issue and how I can resolve it

Just had a bill through the post for £100 of labour?!? I didn't ask him to come round I only showed him it because he was there and thought he might have a suggestion?

Should I query it or just learn in future that if they ask if everything is OK just sat yes unless it's about to explode??
Never heard of anything like that before. He’s having you on. Don’t pay it, you’ll get too much backlash on here😂

Well they are bloody expensive if nothing else. This was from our parlour guys. Specific call out - not a van sales visit - and the journey would take over an hour, and even if only 10 minutes on farm then they are half the price of yours.

Ugh I was hoping you lot were going to tell me I'm being unreasonable and that I should have known they would charge, now I'm going to have to be a big boy on Monday and phone them 😂

Icing on the cake is they've charged me £20 in van mileage as well and there's a note in there telling me their increasing their prices due to rising costs!!

Who would you phone, the salesman or the office? I've already had everything delivered that I ordered 🙄

And apologies for those guessing who, I'm sh!t with abbreviations and can barely remember my initials, so genuinely have no clue who you mean 😂😂😂

if he called in on the 'off chance', no way pay it, if he did some work, and sorted a problem, slightly different, usually, they 'make' the money up elsewhere ! And if they turn up promptly on a real breakdown ..... I would argue it.

Just phone them cancel your order and tell them to never come in your yard again that’s what I would do anyway you don’t even have to get mad you can say it all very calmly it’s there loss not yours
This. But give them a chance to say it was a mistake and credit you before you commit to the big guns

Phone whoever is in charge, don't go nuclear from the off. You've nowhere to escalate it then😅.

Invoices do come incorrect occasionally just a fact of life, its one of them skills you pick up as you go along.
I don't recall not getting one sorted. Unless it's an electric company 🙈. You have to change supplier to sort their messes out for them😅
