Wonder else can the government gets for 6-7m of tax payers money, probably not a great deal! Maybe dairy farmers campaigning for free milk for all primary school aged children would be a good thing!

college just taught how to get max milk out of cows, feed more conc, 4 feeds a day.

any mention of feeding own cereals at home, just caused a mass of objections from the feed reps, they could supply cake cheaper than we could feed our own cereals.

and they pretty well could, the drawback, which l don't really think we thought about, was what was in them, feather meal, dried chicken shite, rice bran, sawdust, and the big one, animal by products, meat and bone meal, tallow etc.

and where did it all end up, over production, quotas etc, l would hate to know how many £millions left the dairy industry, certainly a massive loss. Then the BSE debacle, another multi million drain.

but the feed reps still seem keen to push conc sales, and production is still linked to pricing, and still up and down like a yo-yo. And l think there are probably more people reliant, on the dairy farmer, than there were back in the day. And that is the problem, to many people feeding from the same trough.

we are highly unlikely to achieve a steady decent price for our milk, guv policy is cheap food, the huge supply/support industry, doesn't want to shrink back, so we are sold increasingly high tech equipment, for better efficiency, add ons, that do SFA, etc, but keep a lot of people employed.

nothing wrong with simplifying systems, plenty on here have done it, very successfully, and plenty run highly complicated tech systems, but damn certain the simple systems are the more profitable ones.

Not much, at least if she lay in the sh1t she'd only dirty herself, the other way she's making dirty cubicles for others to lie in. Unless she has the decency to lie the in the same cubicle all the time.......
I would sooner clean a cubicle than a cow,I had three flecks that would sit the wrong way round, for some reason they all stopped and started sitting the right way.

Put her in cubicle the correct way.
Tie rope behind her ... would vet give a sedative so she woud lie down ? -done that historically to cows who lay in passages .. but was 1980'.............
