Look at the inconsistency in that forage how on earth are you going to be able to know the exact intakes of your cows, can see your milk crashing, fertility dropping and foot health in serious jeopardy from that concrete exposureSeeing as we apparently live in a very inclusive society & I don’t want to feel left out, here’s tomorrows allocated “grazing”. Its dry & hard underfoot so they won’t leave a mark.View attachment 1170636
I gave up trying to work out intakes. Damn plate meter wouldn’t work on it. I just bung a heap of grub in front of them, pray they’ll eat a bit & try to squeeze a drop or two of milk from them if I can.Look at the inconsistency in that forage how on earth are you going to be able to know the exact intakes of your cows, can see your milk crashing, fertility dropping and foot health in serious jeopardy from that concrete exposure
Now come on surely you can walk your cows to your pit face, (you can happily smile most grazers in the march sh!t weather would happily have a good pit of grub & concrete )I gave up trying to work out intakes. Its bad enough if my father has to cut any silage out, I’m certainly not letting the cows near it to ruin the face. I wouldn’t sleep at night! Now come on surely you can walk your cows to your pit face, (you can happily smile most grazers in the march sh!t weather would happily have a good pit of grub & concrete )
You should put that on the turnout thread in Ag matter, rev em up a bit, they're all talking May turnout.
