There is an area not far from where I live ,that although one can see for miles ( line of sight) , the mobile phone signal is very poor irrespective of which network people are using.
Can anyone suggest how one can get the mobile phone network improved.
I ask as it is very frustrating to have such a poor network signal, whether it’s for business or pleasure phone calls.
The area I mentioned above is in the Cotswolds and the What3words position (triathlon/flick/outraged) is where the phone signal is very poor.

you can get these antenna relay boosters for the networks, however, they aren't cheap and never tried, as I just (barely) manage here.
Do you have good internet ?
I use calling over my wifi/Internet/Starlink in Signal Messenger and it works very well indeed.
Or you can use WhatsCrap if that's your thing...

You can broadcast your wifi around the farmyard and immediate area, especially if it's flat.
But it won't travel massively far...
After that.... I use a dual sim phone EE & Vodafone, EE mostly and a pay as go card on vodafone for emergency backup.
I can then receive calls on either and use Vodafone if EE isn't connecting.
I actually put £5 on ASDA mobile (vodafone is the host network) and it never expires if I send 1 txt every 6 months.

Mobile here is rubbish, every one in the village moans about it. They're moaning more now the PC has given permission for a 5G mast to go up. :scratchhead:

We don’t have too much of a problem with reception….. more confused connections and the phone zapping from one mast to the other too quickly. This only happens in the house. We had an investigation conducted by Vodafone which involved many calls logs and notes etc. Ended up being offered Wi-Fi calling which works excellent…. Until you walk outdoors and it drops the call!

Where I live I have no problems.
The problem is when I try and call the guy who helps me out partime or he tries calling me .
Also somtimes I am working in the area mentioned above, and when I try and call someone or they try calling me the signal is appalling.
I guess none of the Mobil Network companies will ever admit they have very poor/ weak signal blind spots.

Try Cellmapper.net for your local providers' mast sites. Click on each tower and you will see the direction of coverage, though it is referenced to each road, not just a wide band from the mast itself.
