Could be the same as those electric dog collars.
What happens when you have a power cut that powers the transmitter?

looks amazing though! Presumably if it works you could bring cows in individually twice or three times a day for milking in a standard robot without needing complex A,B,C grazing arrangements, segregation etc.

The big question is whether you want to risk investing in such a system to find it is banned shortly after.

Not only that, imagine having to take them off to charge them? OK, they might be self winders and solar but I should imagine there will be times when power is an issue.

Wales are ahead of the game, apparently dog and cat shock collars have been banned. It’s not right to give your moggy a zap but perfectly acceptable to be tarmacced by a 44t truck!!!!!!

the
A fencing project we are involved with was going to use something similar- council/govt funded - dropped it as they believe it will be banned - although, apparently, the cows soon learn the ‘boundaries’ and therefore no more ‘cruel’ than a normal electric fence
theres a point, will normal electric fences end up banned too? you can imagine what the snowflakes will make of them

Realistically how hard is it to bosh a reel out?

If you are grazing tight with a back fence, it would have to be pretty precise, even before you end up grazing odd fields and have a corridor in and out or to water.

If the price is right and it works the advantage would not just be saving time putting up a fence but being able to extend a grazing area at the touch of an app, bringing cows in ready for milking and being able to control access and exit points to avoid poaching and I'm sure many other variations if it works!
