Amazone Cayena and cover crops?

Does anyone have the front disc option on this drill ? at about £8k its an expensive option if it won't help drill through a moderate cover crop.

It might be cheaper to fit a row of rubber wheels like the ones fitted to a Horsch sprinter drill and roll the cover down.

Or why not just use a Cambridge roll? which you probably already have. We can drill through a lot of residue with our tined drill so long as it remains attached to the soil...if its loose then our only solution is a flail shredder. £8k sounds a lot for the Amazone set of discs. Its a drill we have looked at but when specced up to what we need then we are nearly in CS country.

Ex demo 6m - discs, but is the twin hopper fert one for less than a 4m JD750a. Wanted the dry fert option. Its a shame the 750a doesn't do a dry fert tank.

I use dry fert on the 750 but to be honest its not that big a deal i use it occasions but hand on heart it doesn't make or break a crop

I'd like to see the vaderstad seed box on a 750 3m gravity drill - would be a too drill and if they could get price down to about £25k-30 it would make such a difference
