Hi I was wondering if any know or remembers how to adjust the shutters as I found in the manual that it said that they were checked using a 12mm bolt with the shutters set at 8 but it does not actually state how they are adjusted and as the machine is as old as I am and my dad's mechanical knowledge extends only as far as how to clear the feed pipe from the fuel tank on a tractor he doesn't have a clue.

Thank you for any help as long as it is not get a new one as though that is on our list we have just got a mobile sheep pen which will probably be it for the year unless the header that needs replacing on the hedgecutter finally goes bang after he continued to use it after losing a flail as well as another dung trailer as the sides look about ready to go (again)

I don't think you can adjust the shutters themselves. you put the bolt in the slide and adjust the metal marker plate on the settings lever so both shutters are set the same.

I had a look and you were correct which is why I couldn't find anything other the fact that I need to replace one of the rams around by the shutters though I did have a little problem with the fact that the tabs were at their max already
