I'm getting irritated by Spellcheck trying to change my immaculate English english into American english.

What can I do about it? Neighbour becomes Neighbor, Realise becomes Realize, Arse becomes Erse, etc.

And why isn't the Test team called England and Wales rather than just England?

Just posting to say how much I agree and have a rant! Changing language preferences is the first thing to do but that doesn't always work. The American language is a different language!

When trying to find a new web presence provider, I went through about six before finding one that writes reasonable English -- and I think they are Latvian! And most of them can't use correct grammar anyway and misuse punctuation and start sentences with lower case.... Don't get me started!

I don't mind us English misusing our own language, it's a living language and will change through time. It's the foreigners who annoy me! I had a post deleted from another forum for mentioning a "pissing contest" because they (quote) "don't allow swearing". That's in the Oxford Shorter English Dictionary, for god's sake! Vulgar English, maybe, but still good old Anglo-Saxon English! Whoever heard of a urination contest?

Wondering what forums you are on to be discussing pissing contests 😂😂😂

Set your computer language correctly?

The American spell check seems to apply specifically to this Forum. When I use ''Excel'' and ''Microsoft Word'' to write my brilliant missives and memoirs etc, the spell check is all in the Queen's English. But I can't see any way of getting rid of the American version on this barsteward shitty arsehole of a forum.

It's not the forum itself. It might be your browser? Office spell checker is separate.

Okay, what device, operating system, browser etc? Does it do the same if you’re filling in a random form on a different website?
