Anonymous Survey - Wind Turbine Payments

Hi everyone,

I am a currently pursuing a part time Master's Degree in Environmental Impact Assessment and Management at Oxford Brookes University alongside my day job in sustainability. With the recent removal of the de facto ban on onshore wind turbines and the call for consultation on permitted development of turbines of farmland, I am conducting research to understand farmers and rural communities views on wind and what financial compensation they might expect.

I am undertaking a survey to explore this to and test theories on what is expected as fair compensation. Your participation in this survey would be incredibly valuable to ensure a wide range of farmers are surveyed and possibly affect future policy and research. It has already been shared through some NFFN and NFU groups but the more data the better.

I kindly invite you to take part in this survey by following the link below:

Your responses will be anonymised and protected.

Thank you in advance - your support is greatly appreciated! And do get in touch through the contact details at the beginning of the survey if you have any questions.

all the best,
Agnes

Hi all, just a nudge it's the last chance to submit your opinions over the next week. There are already some very interesting trends appearing on farmer/landowner vs community beliefs on suitable financial compensation!

Livestock Farmer
I have wind turbines on the farm here, and have lots of opinions on renewable energy, wind generation and renewable power companies, and how they treat the landowners. A lot of my opinions are garnered from experience. However, why can't I fill in the survey living in Wales? I am English, and we are all part of the United Kingdom. So you can get the opinions of a rural resident who lives in England, but not the opinion of a farmer who has two turbines on their own farm, so is very au fait with the issues.

#bloody annoyed.
