The whole idea , as i understand, is for the "govt" any govt, has to "govt", basic things, like one protect, defend the country, defend rule of law of the UK and its people, feed protect and "help" the UKs people when they need "help"? Support, encourage home grown industry? All i repeat all of these basic rights that any of the worlds countries their population would expect, Our "lot" dont do fact, they seem far far more interested in other countries, other countries problems and other countries people than us here in the UK? Argue that?
The current regime in Westminster have failed us all ,on all fronts.

I can see the merit in planting productive trees on upland ground - and indeed I have done it myself - but this notion of spending millions of pounds of often public money to fight away to establish what amounts to little more than a green fuzz does make me wonder.

That said, nothing is forever, if priorities change, we may well see food production in some form coming back to these places.

Reports the 970 acre 'Sibleyback farm' on Bodmin has been sold to rewilders....£10 million to turn it into native woodland and bog.

Where does this all end?
Interesting the source of funding. They've bought Mornacott nr South Molton, and several places up and down the land. Very glossy. The consequences of offsetting for those who won't decarbonise their lifestyles or businesses directly 🙄

Its not if, its when.
This is thr biggest con ever

Thats over 1.5 square miles? I really dont care any more, common sense has gone, all this and more is a "ticking time bomb" waiting to explode and when it does, not very long now, all havoc, rage, anger and anrchey will be unleached, the likes of which this country has not seen for many many years?
Yep it’s gonna get nasty ….a letter in the parish magazine and catchy bumper sticker

It’s not being rewilded. Lots of rumours flying about, and very few of those spreading them will have actually spoken to the new owners.

It won’t look like it does now, lots will change and this will no doubt provoke many angry letters to the Western Morning News but, it will still produce beef and, I believe, lamb.

And if it doesn’t, so what. Market share will
be a tiny bit bigger for everyone else so, let’s all just chill and see what happens.
