Looks a bit what. But that is what they are all doing nowadays, on the better side they have made the autobox a 6 speed now , beefed up the rear shocks and added hill decent, and reconfigured the 4wd display other than that same as what is available on the current model,
Not available till the end of the year from what I hear

"huge improvement, looks wise over the last model" :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

I was all over the current L200 at the Highland Show... I wouldn't touch one unless I just wanted a run-a-bout/car. I expect this one to be just the same

It is hideous. The previous one wasn't much better either.

And what the heck is wrong with the latest Hilux, looks like someone has tried to drive it into a low wall and given it an undershot jaw?

To a degree I agree, but its a very good truck and like mine very much after a year and 20k miles. Very nice place to sit and drive. Longest run in one go was best part of 1.5k Km back from the alps in one leg. Felt fine when I go home.

Towing it works very well.

Off road it will be much better once I wear out the factory fit tyres.

Depreciation? Time will tell but Ill place it better than many of its competitors.

I agree it is by far the most compelling truck out there from a reliability stand point, although the peculiar seating arrangement does not suit me. They are all hopeless off-road without appropriate tyres. I was under the impression that most pick ups, unless bog standard spec, were pretty sound in deprecation terms.

Looking at second had prices I think the Hilux still does OK, mine is an Invincible X so top spec.

Ive had it a year so jury is out on reliability.

Looks, well its grown on me, mid you Im sat it in rather than looking at it most of the time. Cabin and dash are very good IMHO. (heated seats are crap though)

We bought our old L200 single cab "4 work" in 2004 as a preregistered discounted vehicle. It looked like a sensible basic tidy pick up to me, and so it has proved to be right up to the present day, not withstanding a few niggles.

I have to say, that all models that followed our sensible old work horse look like something out of a "transformers" toy kit.

I really don't know why there is this tendency to jazz things up to a ridiculous level. It's not limited to pickups either. Some new farm machinery has gone way over the top with styling.

Or maybe I'm just getting old.

What's different about the seating?
