There was a big outcry about an ad for milk being inaccurate recently, why is this inaccurate, inappropriate and downright dangerous garbage not getting any mention at all. What are NFU, Red Tractor et al doing about this? Why is there nothing from the NHS? This is misinformation about autism which won't be helping sufferers and their families. @Guy Smith, any comment?

We did take some of these latest anti-Dairy ads to the ASA but unfortunately they ruled the ads did not contravene advertising standards.

Two problems with responding and rebutting the constant stream of ridiculous claims about food and farming is that firstly you can end up drawing more attention to them, secondly you are using resource and energy running round someone else's agenda where you might have done better using those resources to promote your own messages not rebutting someone else's. Also there are endless extreme views out there which you could spend a lifetime countering but not making much progress. It's keeping the extremism out of the mainstream that is important.

Looking at the latest consumer trends we can see no response to this vegan campaign which has been running this year so we need to keep things in perspective.
