I m really struggling with anxiety anymore else struggle with this? Coping and working with it gets quite tough.Yesterday I did a self referral for NHS talking therapy.
Feel anxious almost constantly, awake at between 4 and 5 every day, brain mulling over where’s next problem coming from mostly, worried about crops, prices, dealing with difficult people, lack of confidence in decisions made…list goes on.

Personally I think it’s a culmination of the struggles of the last 18 month/2yrs, it’s just worn me down and resilience is low.

They all just tell me I am "over thinking everything "?

Remember being part of a conversation about budgeting, specifically crops. One chap said he didn’t bother, gave up as was either way over or way under and a week of bad weather was often the only difference. Could spend days in office crunching numbers or not bother and go do something else. I’m not that brave.

One thing about overthinking this is your never that surprised or disappointed when things go wrong.

You've already went over this scenario many times in your head.

For me, it's the worrying that is worse than when/if the problem actually occurs.

I'll sit on the edge of that combine seat all day worrying. When/if a problem does eventually happen, I actually then feel more relieved.

A friend of mine use to help us during harvest. He use to ask me why I worried, "the machines working alright isn't it?, if it breaks down we'll fix it, like we always do"
Sounds so simple

Everyone suffers from anxiety to some extent, but the loneliness, workload and financial pressures of farming make it worse.

-Get a blood test done to rule out any underlying faults (i.e. diabetes) or deficiencies
-Give up all caffeinated drinks
-Give up alcohol (or use it sparingly)
-Cut back on unnneccesary sugar
-Have a good feed and then a good sleep
-Give up social media, news and (possibly) TFF
-Take up regular, physical excersise (i.e. running)

Talking to someone is good but you've got to get the basics right first.

2 ways to look at things ,find the solution to the problem or the problem to the solution, luckily I'm one who is in the former camp but believe me we are very ,ucky people in what we do ,don't let it get you down, anybody who wants to message is welcome as I have seen both sides ,not me but my other half ,she got through it because she talked

I am constantly anxious. Similar to what’s written on here I think out various scenarios and possible outcomes. It’s sort of an insurance policy of sorts to organise things to get your ducks in a row to get things to work, or try to at least.
I would think to be farming it would be impossible not to have some sort of anxiety. There’s so much up in the air and beyond our control.
