Any landini mechanics in?

We have a landini mythos 115 tdi and the drivers side half shaft is moving out towards the hub too much creating an oil leak. All i need to know really is what holds the halfshaft in place and stops it from coming outwards too much ? Thanks

Usually a fine threaded bolt with a locking washer in the middle if epicyclic on most tractor. It could be that it’s worked loose or most probably your half shaft tappered roller bearings are worn. Whatever it is will need trumpet off asap

Oh, hold on, that’s a front axle. The shafts do float about a bit but nothing substantia. It should be held in the hub somehow by means of a circlip or similar. Other end usually just slot into the centre differentia.

Yes its the front axle sorry, one side is tight but the drivers side comes right out nearly a couple of inches everything seems tight except for the shaft.. in the next pic ive marked where there seems to be a capped cover of some sorts , was wandering if in there there is some kind of locking bolt?
