Thinking of selling my 2006 mf 5465, and getting a tidy 4wd either 7810 or 8210 turbo or maybe a TW15. My grandad always had fords and I Don’t do a great lot of road work so the speed won’t really bother me. Just fancy an old reliable classic, would need to be very tidy, anyone no of any about?

I’ve just been to Richard Firby’s and he has a a reg 8210, I didn’t look at it closely but It looked very nice for its age. Have a look on his website for pictures.

I'd stick with the fergy, you could be buying a whole lot of trouble taking on an old tractor like that compared to the devil you know
Nothing against the fergy, but I’m aware odds are something electrical goes wrong with it I can’t fix it, where as with a more mechanical old machine we know well I’d like to think I’d be able to sort most stuff!

Could be wrong but I think you’ll find those fergys are pretty simple tried and tested technology and pretty reliable with air con air seat quiet cab and radio I know they have only speedshift and different league to a 6290 but do you really want an old Ford. I wouldn’t have to think long!!

8210, 7810 were indeed a good tractor, however there is no doubt selling your fairly modern tractor for one now is a backward step.

Would you like to sell your car and buy a E30 325i? Nice things those were in their day too, but expensive now and you wouldn't like keeping it running day to day compared to a modern version.
