As per title thread, anybody near to, or going to Ely machine sales tomorrow?
There's a tractor on website I seen would like someone to give a quick 5 minute look over for me..

Travel, time or burger and tea costs will be paid!

I watched the tractor auction for a while on i-bidder. I'm no expert, but I thought more than usual were being passed unsold?

Half the sale ground goes unsold. Some far too optimistic reserves and not the best auctioneers

I often watch on iBidder, too. Most get passed, happens every time. The blue Valtra A series has been down there for 18 months or more!

In that case they should accept the best bid or refuse to offer it for sale. Just reflects badly on cheffins

They charge (£25?) storage from one sale to the next. Makes no odds to them - even the unsold lots pay their way. I think a three strikes and you're out rule would be useful, though - no reserve allowed on the third consecutive entry.
