Yes I have direct experience with water buffalo. Family friends currently farm them, I think they are now milking about 100 and finishing all the steers. The meat is pretty good, like beef really. They don't give much milk (around 2000 litres per lactation). they require careful handling because of the horns but they don't have a particularly bad attitude.

He never used to disbud his limo X steers. If he is dealing with buffalo each day, I can see why.

My neighbour farms buffalo for meat.

They mob stock them on herbal leys, a very impressive set up.

He used to be Buffalo farmer on the old BFF, but I don't think that he has made it here.

There's a chap not far from me, out in the Sheffield direction. My son knows him and has eaten buffalo, said it was good!
