but DB's are going up in value rapidly aren't they? ;)
Eeek!
How 🤦🏻‍♂️
my old neighbour had 2 of them like that and 2 which were 2wd, not one of them made it to 2005 despite him being an excellent engineer, when he sold the farm they were scrapped.

And told them whst had happened, sent pictures etc, they agreed to repair. I stripped the axle bought new crown wheel and pinion and yoke end etc and repaired in house. Sent copies of receipts and photos of repairs but was never reimbursed. Was told they never received them etc. Was very disappointed seeing they were supposed to be a very reputable company. I wasn't even charing an arm and a leg just trying to cover cost. I certainly will never be buying from them again.
Was it impossible to resend them?

Op is a crank paying that for a brown. Been way better off with a 135
It`s not really very nice getting personal.
We all have our favourites and we`re all entitled to spend our money however we want. There`s a LOT of difference between a rust heap that would take a heap of time/money to get anything decent looking and a tractor like the O P bought that would be pretty easy to get looking fairly smart.

We've no idea how the dealer has handled anything. We only have one side of the story
Fair point ,but reading the original post which says he didn't answer or return calls and seemed uninterested until reminded that he said it was in working order.
The purchaser should probably have made more effort to get the tractor back for repair.
I still say both parties could have handled things better
