Anyone on here in the Firewood game?

No my pile sh!t processor still sits in the hedge... I just like things that are diff and no one else has..
That machine would go lot better with a palax ks35 bolted to,it...
I'd like to get hold of some drawings for that and get my mate to make one.. Already have a drop down low loader trailer, could mount it all on that..

That artic load I sell will produce 50 ish cubic metres split hardwoodvwithnaverage haulage cost of £400 makes it£28 a cube to buy....
Then there's the processing on top. When we have used processor it takes good 3 days for 2 men to split this load at around £200 day inc bit red in the old major on machine.. So it owes £40 a cube in the bag..... The bag will cost £5. ( prob returnable by customer) then there's advertising, truck to run to deliver and obviously time to deliver also..
Hence it should be at least £80 a cube.... And also bear in mind most bulk bags are not a cubic metre but 0.8 cubic metres or less..

Want one!!!!!!!
Get all those logs out of the hedgerows.
There are some other makes available which are similar.
I also like the German made one which I cant find at the moment.

I like the particular type of self feed, as opposed to the bilke with its belt feed, plus the rear discharge which negates the need for a another tractor and trailer running alongside.

Nothing like chucking gallons of squirt at a job!
Two entirely different applications though.
The less handling from smaller stuff the better, to make it economic to recover what is there, rather than just push it all in a heap and burn it.

A few pictures above of some woodland/firewood production, will add some more when on the other computer.

I find it difficult to compete with people selling 'builders ton bags' which are 0.625 cubic meters, when you're selling cubic meter bags. Really I should join them and buy smaller bags that appear better value to the customer, but in reality aren't.

Unfortunately some idiot has a few hundred unused cubic vented log bags sitting on a pallet still.

I think 'builders bag' sold two at a time would be significantly more profitable than how I currently do it.
